Drotaverine is an isoquinoline derivative, similar in chemical structure and pharmacological properties to papaverine, but has a more pronounced and prolonged effect. Drotaverine has a pronounced antispasmodic effect on smooth muscles due to inhibition of phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4).

Contraindications and special instructions:
Hypersensitivity to drotaverine or to any of the excipients of the veterinary drug.
Severe liver or kidney failure.
Severe heart failure.
Glaucoma.
Low blood pressure (arterial hypotension).
AV block of ll-lll degree.
