Nosiheptide, which is part of Levoxydin, has an antimicrobial effect on gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including Clostridium spp., Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp. (including beta-lactamase-producing Staphylococcus aureus of anticoagulase-negative staphylococci).
Prednisolone, which is part of Levoxydin, is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid that has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and decongestant effects.
D-panthenol (dexpanthenol), a derivative of pantothenic acid, has regenerative properties, stimulates epithelialization and healing of the skin, and has a moderate anti-inflammatory effect.
Lidocaine hydrochloride is an amide membrane-stabilizing local anesthetic that suppresses the activity of sensitive nerve endings of the skin, reversibly inhibits the conduction of nerve impulses in neurons, axons and synapses, inhibits tactile sensitivity, pain it reacts and eliminates itching.

Levoxydin is used externally.
The gel is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin or wound of the animal 1-2 times a day.
It is possible to inject the drug into purulent cavities. The duration of treatment depends on the type, severity and course of the disease and can average 7-14 days. If there is no improvement after the course of treatment or new symptoms appear, it is necessary to consult a veterinarian.
In order to preserve the therapeutic effect of the drug, measures must be taken to prevent it from being licked off.
