Tialong 45% WS
Water-soluble tiamulin-based powder to treat and prevent gastrointestinal diseases in pigs and poultry
- High efficacy against spirochaetosis, clostridiosis and mycoplasmosis
- Quick introduction with water
Tialong 45% WS has a broad-spectrum action against:

|
Tialong 45% WS is used in poultry for mycoplasma infections caused by M. gallisepticum and M. synoviae, to prevent secondary bacterial diseases in viral infections, as well as in other diseases caused by pathogens sensitive to tiamulin.
Tialong 45% WS is used in pigs for respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases of bacterial etiology (enzootic pneumonia, actinobacillar pleuropneumonia, proliferative enteropathy (ileitis), colitis (caused by Br. Pilosicoli), dysentery), mycoplasma arthritis, to prevent secondary bacterial diseases in viral infections, as well as other diseases which pathogens are sensitive to tiamulin.
Poultry
| Age group | Dosage* | Treatment course |
|---|---|---|
| Treatment: | ||
| Broilers, replacenment young chicken and parent stock | 0.067-0.11 g/kg of b.w. (30-50 mg tiamulin hydrogen fumarate/kg)** | 3-5 days |
| In order to prevent the spread of diseases of poultry that is in contact with sick poultry but without clinical signs of the disease***: | ||
| Chicks | 0.28-0.33 g/kg (125-150 mg tiamulin hydrogen fumarate/kg) | from the first days of life for 3 days |
| Broilers from the 4th week of life | 0.067-0.11 g/kg (30-50 mg tiamulin hydrogen fumarate/kg) | 1-3 days every 3-4 weeks of life |
| Replacenment young chicken | 0.067-0.10 g/kg (30-45 mg tiamulin hydrogen fumarate/kg) | 1-3 days every 4-6 weeks of life |
| Parent stock | 0.056 g/kg (25 mg tiamulin hydrogen fumarate/kg) | 1 time per month for 3 consecutive days |
|
* The average dosage value per 1 liter of water: 0.56-3.3 g / 1 liter of water ** The consumption of a daily dose by poultry is ensured by drinking a 0.025% solution of tiamulin hydrogen fumarate. *** The consumption of a daily dose by poultry is provided by drinking 0.0125-0.025% solution of tiamulin hydrogen fumarate. |
||
To prepare a 0.025% solution, dissolve 1.1 g of the drug in 2 liters of water.
To prepare a 0.0125% solution, dissolve 1.1 g of the drug in 4 liters of water
Pigs
To treat bacterial infections in pigs, the drug is used following the schedule given in Table 1. Before use, calculate the daily water consumption for pigs and prepare the tiamulin hydrogen fumarate solution of the required concentration. To prepare a 0.006% tiamulin solution, dissolve 1 g of Tialong 45% WS in 7.5 l of water; a 0.012% solution—dissolve 1 g in 3.75 l of water; a 0.018% solution—dissolve 1 g in 2.5 l of water.
Table 1
| Indication | Dosage | Treatment period |
|---|---|---|
| Dysentery incl. complicated by Fusobacterim spp. and Bacteroides spp. | 0.016 - 0.02 g/1 kg (7.3 – 9 mg tiamulin / 1 kg) of animal body weight. The daily dose consumption is ensured when a 0.006% tiamulin hydrogen fumarate solution is administered with drinking water. | 3 – 5 days |
| Proliferative enteropathy (ileitis) caused by Lawsonia intracellularis and colitis caused by Br. pilosicoli | 5 days | |
| Enzootic pneumonia caused by M. hyopneumoniae, including complications by P. multocida and A. pleuropneumoniae | 0.033 - 0.045 g/1 kg (15 – 20 mg tiamulin / 1 kg) of animal body weight. The daily dose consumption is ensured when a 0.012 - 0.018% tiamulin hydrogen fumarate solution is administered with drinking water. | 5 – 10 days |
| Pleuropneumonia caused by A. pleuropneumoniae | 0.045 g/1 kg 20 mg tiamulin / 1 kg) of animal body weight. The daily dose consumption is ensured when a 0.018% tiamulin hydrogen fumarate solution is administered with drinking water. | 5 – 7 days |
In order to prevent the spread of diseases, it is allowed to use the drug in a group of animals with no clinical signs of the disease applying therapeutic doses for no more than 10 days.
Contraindications and special instructions:
Simultaneous use of the drug in conjunction with monenzine, salinomycin, narazine and other ionophoric coccidiostatics, aminoglycoside antibiotics, as well as for 7 days before and 7 days after the use of these drugs, is prohibited, due to the possible occurrence of side effects and complications in poultry (diarrhea, anorexia, paresis, nephrotoxic effects, etc.).
