Pharmacological properties

The combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid has a broad-spectrum bactericidal activity against most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including β-lactamase-producing strains:

Indications
Amoxygard is prescribed:

for cattle to treat respiratory diseases of bacterial etiology, obstetric-gynecological diseases (metritis, mastitis, surgical diseases, incl. such soft tissue infections as abscesses, phlegmon, etc.)

for pigs to treat bacterial respiratory infections, colibacillosis, postpartum infections in sows (i. e. metritis, mastitis, agalactia)

for dogs and cats to treat respiratory, urological, skin infections and soft tissue diseases (abscesses, pyoderma, inflammation of anal glands, gingivitis)

Before each application, a vial of Amoxygard must be thoroughly shaken till formation of homogenous suspended mixture. The drugs shall be administered in cattle intramuscularly only. Upon the drug administration, the site of injection should be massaged. For the drug administration, only dry syringes and needles shall be used.

Restrictions
Contraindications and special instructions:
Individual hypersensitivity of animals to the components of the drug and β-lactam antibiotics, as well as pronounced impairments of liver and/or kidney function

Withdrawal period:
meat: 42 days (cattle), 31 days (pigs)
milk: 108 hours
