Amoxicillin-NF 80% water-soluble is administered orally individually or by the group method with drinking water: to pigs and poultry – at a dose of 250 g of the drug per 1000 L of water (10–20 mg of amoxicillin trihydrate or 12.5-25 mg of the drug per 1 kg of animal body weight, depending on water consumption), daily for 5–10 days.
In order to prevent the spread of diseases, it is allowed to prescribe the drug in a therapeutic dose to a group of animals in contact with a sick animal and showing no clinical signs of the disease.
With the group method of administration, pigs and poultry must receive only water containing the medicinal product. It is necessary to make sure that the drug is completely dissolved in the water. The maximum solubility of the drug is approximately 10 g per liter of drinking water at a water temperature of 15 °C. If the water temperature decreases, the solubility of the drug may decrease.
The shelf life of the drug solution in drinking water is 24 hours at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
