The synergistic combination of enrofloxacin and colistin sulfate provides a broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microbes.
Enrofloxacin inhibits the activity of gyrase, an enzyme that affects the replication of DNA spiral in the nucleus of the bacterial cell, thus disrupting the protein synthesis and suppressing the growth and development of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria including:

  • Escherichia coli
  • Haemophilus spp.
  • Pasteurella spp.
  • Salmonella spp.
  • Staphylococcus spp.
  • Streptococcus spp.
  • Clostridium perfringens
  • Bordetella spp.
