Pharmacological properties

Ditrim OR belongs to the pharmacotherapeutic group - sulfonamides in combinations. Sulfadimidine and trimethoprim have a synergistic effect, which provides a wide range of bacteriostatic activity against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including:

Indications
Ditrim OR is used in poultry for the treatment of bacterial infections of the respiratory and gastrointestinal tract, the pathogens of which are sensitive to sulfadimidine and trimethoprim (including pasteurellosis, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, staphylococcosis and coccidiosis).

Diseases of bacterial etiology

Orally individually or by a group method with drinking water

0.5-1 ml/1 l of drinking water or 1-2 ml/16 kg of animal body weight

Coccidiosis

2 ml/1 l of drinking water

In order to prevent the spread of diseases, it is allowed to prescribe the drug in a therapeutic dose to a group of poultry that are in contact with sick poultry and having no clinical signs of the disease.

Restrictions
Contraindications and special instructions:
Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, severe functional disorders of the liver and kidneys.
It is prohibited to use the drug in chickens whose eggs are intended for human consumption, and in replacement chickens less than 14 days before the start of egg laying.
Simultaneous use of the drug with B vitamins (nicotinamide, folic acid, choline) and paraaminobenzoic acid derivatives is prohibited, due to their antagonistic interaction.
