Pharmacological properties

Cefquinome sulfate is a fourth-generation cephalosporin with a broad spectrum antibacterial effect against most gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including:

Indications
Nomicef is used in cattle for the treatment of respiratory diseases; digital dermatitis, infective bulbar necrosis and acute interdigital necrobacillosis (hoof rot); acute mastitis; escherichiosis (colibacillosis) in calves.
Nomicef is used in pigs for the treatment of bacterial infections of the lungs and respiratory tract, MMA-syndrome (mastitis-metritis-agalactia), meningitis, arthritis and dermatitis (including epidermitis).

Dosage and method of administration

Nomicef is administered to animals intramuscularly once a day for 2-5 days, at the doses indicated in the table below:

Restrictions
Contraindications and special instructions:
Increased individual sensitivity of the animal to the component of the drug, as well as to other β-lactam antibiotics.
