Indications

Gatilon is used in pigs, broilers and replacement chickens for the treatment of bacterial infections:

  • in pigs: to treat bacterial diseases of the respiratory system (including actinobacillar pleuropneumonia, enzootic pneumonia, streptococcal pneumonia), gastrointestinal tract (including salmonellosis, colibacteriosis), genitourinary system, skin and soft tissue infections caused by pathogens sensitive to gatifloxacin, as well as spirochaetosis, streptococcosis, pseudomoniasis and mycoplasma infections.
  • in broilers and replacement chickens: to treat mycoplasmosis, salmonellosis, colibacteriosis, dysentery, necrotizing enteritis, pseudomoniasis, campylobacteriosis, staphylococcosis, pasteurellosis and other diseases caused by pathogens sensitive to gatifloxacin.

Orally, individually or by a group method with drinking water

0.1 ml/1 kg of animal

body weight (10 mg of gatifloxacin/1 kg of animal body weight)

Once a day for 2-3 days.

In case of complex and mixed infections, the drug can be administered for up to 5 days.

Restrictions

Contraindications and special instructions:
Avoid using the drug in laying hens and replacement chickens less than 16 days before laying, as gatifloxacin accumulates in eggs. The use in newborn piglets, lactating and pregnant sows is advised to be under the supervision of a veterinarian based on an assessment of the ratio of the expected benefit to the possible risk of its use.

Withdrawal period:
meat: 14 days (pigs), 16 days (poultry)
eggs: 16 days
