Florfenicol has a broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against:

Indications

Florox OR is used in pigs for:

  • bacterial respiratory diseases, incl. pleuropneumonia, caused by Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Haemophilus parasuis
  • atrophic rhinitis caused by Pasteurella multocida, Bordetella bronchiseptica
  • mycoplasma infections caused by M. hyopneumoniae, M. hyorhinis
  • other bacterial diseases induced by the microbial florfenicol-sensitive pathogens


Florox OR is used in poultry for:

  • pasteurellosis, staphylococcus, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, hemophilia, and respiratory diseases including those caused by Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale
  • secondary infections in viral diseases (including colibacillosis)
  • other infectious diseases induced by the microbial florfenicol-sensitive pathogens

The use of Florox OR in its own form in dosing devices of drinking systems is not allowed. For the preparation of the drug, it is necessary to prepare the mother liquor.

Restrictions

Contraindications and special instructions:

It is prohibited to use the drug in laying hens and replacement chickens less than 14 days before the start of egg laying due to florfenicol accumulation in eggs. It is prohibited to use the drug in producing boars, pregnant and lactating sows.

Withdrawal period:
meat: 15 days (pigs), 6 days (poultry)
