Unique insectoacaricidal veterinary spray for improving the condition of animals by eliminating the effects of invasion
Ivermek-spray has a pronounced acaricidal activity on larvae and imagoes of sarcoptoid, demodex mites (Sarcoptes spp., Psoroptes spp., Notoedres cati, Demodex canis, Otodectes cynotis, Knemidocoptes spp.) parasitizing dogs, cats, fur-bearing animals and rodents, as well as knemidocoptes that parasitize birds.
Ivermek-spray is used to treat dogs, cats, fur-bearing animals and small rodents with sarcoptosis, otodectosis, notohedrosis, psoroptosis and demodicosis, small birds with knemidocoptosis.
Treatment of animals is carried out outdoors or in a well-ventilated room, after removing the cages with small birds from the room and covering the aquariums with fish.
To prevent the veterinary drug from being licked off, the animal is put on a muzzle (or a neck collar), or jaws are fixed with a loop of braid, which are removed after the veterinary drug has completely dried.
Ivermek-spray is applied to the affected areas of the animal's body that have been previously cleaned of scabs and crusts before they are visually coated with the veterinary drug, but no more than 0.2 ml / kg of animal body weight. The affected areas in the eye and nose are treated with the fingertips (in a glove) moistened with the veterinary drug, gently rubbing into the skin. When treating, the vial with the spray is held vertically, pressing on the spray nozzle, directing it to the affected areas from a distance of 10-20 cm with the capture of 1-2 cm of borderline healthy skin. One press on the spray nozzle provides 0.125 ml.
When dogs, cats and fur-bearing animals have demodicosis, dogs and fur-bearing animals have sarcoptosis and cats have notohedrosis are treated 2-4 times with an interval of 3-5 days after the clinical recovery of the animal, which is confirmed by two negative results of acarological studies. Animals with extensive areas of infection are treated in two doses with a 1-day interval, applying Ivermek-spray to the affected areas firstly on half of the torso, then on the other half of the torso. Animals should not be allowed to lick the veterinary drug until the coat is completely dry after treatment.
In case of otodectosis of carnivores and psoroptosis of small rodents, the veterinary drug is applied to the inner surface of the auricle previously cleaned of scabs and crusts and the skin of the external auditory canal, depending on the weight of the animal and the size of the auricle at a dose of 0.5-1.0 ml (4-8 presses on the spray nozzle). The treatment is carried out twice with an interval of 3-5 days. Both ears must be treated with the veterinary drug. If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated. The veterinary drug must be administered into both ears, even in cases of otodectosis of only one auricle. In case of otodectosis, complicated with otitis, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs are prescribed. The treatment knemidocoptosis of small birds is carried out 2-4 times with an interval of 35 days before clinical recovery, which is confirmed by two negative results of acarological studies.
