Dosage and method of administration

When dogs and cats are affected by demodicosis, sarcoptosis, and notohedrosis, the veterinary drug is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas previously cleaned of scabs and crusts at a dose of is 0.2-0.3 ml per 1 kg of animal body weight, lightly rubbing from the periphery to the center with the capture of 1-2 cm of borderline healthy skin. To prevent the veterinary drug from being licked off, animals are put on a neck collar, muzzle, or jaws are closed with a loop of cloth, which are removed 15-20 minutes after applying the veterinary drug. The treatments are carried out 2-4 times with an interval of 5-7 days before the clinical recovery of the animal, which is confirmed by two negative results of acarological studies. Animals with extensive lesions are treated in two doses with an interval of one day, applying the veterinary drug to the affected areas first of one and then the other half of the torso. In case of acarosis complicated by bacterial infection, the use of immunomodulatory and antibacterial drugs is recommended.
In case of otodectosis (ear scabies), the external auditory canal is cleaned with a moistened gel with a tampon spray from scabs and crusts, then 0.5-2.0 ml of Ivermek-gel is administered into each ear (depending on the weight of the animal). In order to more precisely treat the entire surface of the ear canal, the auricle is folded in half lengthwise and the base is lightly massaged. The treatment is carried out 1-2 times with an interval of 5-7 days. If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated. The veterinary drug must be administered into both ears, even in cases of otodectosis of only one ear. In advanced cases of the disease complicated by colitis, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory drugs are prescribed.
