Pharmacological properties
Chlorhexidine hydrochloride, which is part of the drug Sepranol, has a broad-spectrum action against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, protozoa and fungi: Escherichia spp., Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Proteus spp. It has an anti-inflammatory effect, improves the proliferative processes in the genitals.
Propranolol, which is part of Sepranol, stimulates the activity of the uterus and is a beta-blocker of adrenoreceptors of the myometrium.

Indications
Sepranol is used in cows to stimulate the separation of the afterbirth, the prevention and treatment of acute postpartum endometritis, as well as the treatment of endometritis caused by microorganisms sensitive to chlorhexidine hydrochloride.

When the cervix is closed and it is impossible to administer suppositories, it is recommended to use a freshly prepared solution of the drug. For the solution: mix 2 suppositories with 150-200 ml of sterile water or saline solution, preheated to 40 °C.

Contraindications and special instructions:
The drug is not used in pregnant cows. It is forbidden to use it simultaneously with other intrauterine drugs.
