Denaverine hydrochloride, which is part of Sensiverin, belongs to selective beta-blockers, has a relaxing effect on the smooth muscles of the cervix and helps to increase the elasticity of the birth canal. The drug blocks individual uterine receptors, thereby contributing to the manifestation of the action of endogenous oxytocin and normalizes the contractility of the smooth muscles of the uterus. Denaverine hydrochloride has anesthetic and anticonvulsant effects, as well as mild tranquilizing and antipyretic effects.

Sensiverin is used once intramuscularly or subcutaneously in the following doses:
For animals weighing less than 10 kg the dose is 0.5 ml (20 mg of denaverine hydrochloride); for animals weighing from 11 kg to 20 kg the dose is 1 ml (40 mg of denaverine hydrochloride); for animals weighing from 20 kg or more the dose is 1.5 ml (60 mg of denaverine hydrochloride)). It is recommended heating the drug to room temperature before using it.
The use of Sensiverin is not recommended in cases of mechanical obstructions to delivery (including tumors, anatomical narrowing of the pelvis, uterine torsion, and structural abnormalities of the vagina and cervix), as well as in cases of hypersensitivity to any of the substances contained in the drug.
Do not administer Sensiverin must in the same syringe with other drugs. Simultaneous use of the drug with other spasmolytics is also prohibited.
