Dosage and method of administration
Nomicef LC is administered after milking, intracisternally, 1 syringe per each affected quarter of the udder 3 times with an interval of 12 hours. Each syringe is for single use only.
Before administration of Nomicef LC, the contents of the udder lobe are milked, the milk is disinfected by boiling and disposed. The nipple is wiped from the outside with a 70% alcohol solution or a special antiseptic cloth. When administered to calm animals, only the upper part of the cap covering the cannula of the syringe is removed, and for restless animals, the cap is completely removed. After that, the cannula of the syringe is inserted into the nipple canal, the contents of the syringe are carefully squeezed out by pressing the plunger, then the cannula is removed, the tip of the nipple is squeezed with fingers and the drug is massaged upward through the nipple canal into the udder cistern. Then, if possible, a light massage of the udder quarter is performed in the bottom-up direction for better distribution of the drug in the udder cistern (do not massage the udder with purulent and purulent-catarrhal forms of mastitis).
