Tetragidrovit

Tetragidrovit is used to prevent or to treat vitamin deficiency and normalize metabolism in the following situations:

• during pregnancy (only second half) and lactation
• during dysfunctions of the reproductive function
• animal growth inhibition and insufficient weight gain
• contagious and invasive diseases
• preventative vaccinations and dehelminthization
• stressful situations
• surgical operations or injuries
• decreased productivity and additional loads
• when transporting animals
• when replacing feed at fattening
• reduced productivity and reduced eggshell strength

Tetragidrovit is administered to animals subcutaneously or intramuscularly, to poultry – orally diluted with drinking water or feed.

For preventative purposes, Tetragidrovit is used once every 2 – 3 weeks; for treatment purposes, the dose and frequency of use are increased by 2 – 3 times (use once in chicks and chicken pullets, layers – twice with a 1– 2 week interval).  In pregnant sows, the drug is administered 3 – 4 weeks before farrowing, to dry cows – 1 – 1.5 months before calving.

When using the drug, the diet should be balanced in proteins, phosphor, calcium, magnesium and microelements.

Contraindications and special instructions:

Avoid using the drug simultaneously with corticosteroid hormones. They contribute to the elimination of vitamin D3 from the body, as well as disrupt the absorption and metabolism of calcium. Administered simultaneously with the drug, cardiac glycosides may intensify toxic effects of the latter (risk of cardiac arrhythmias increases).

Simultaneous use with tetracyclines increases the risk of intracranial hypertension. The drug should be used with caution, when administered simultaneously with NSAIDs as it increases the effect of the latter. Avoid contact of the drug solutions with disinfectants and oxidants.
