Pharmacological properties
The anticoccidial activity of the medicinal product is due to the synergism of its active components – salinomycin (an ionophore antibiotic) and nicarbazin (a dinitrocarbanilide derivative).

The mechanism of action of salinomycin involves disruption of sodium and potassium cation transport in immature stages of coccidia, leading to their death during the schizont stage.
Nicarbazin is a synthetic anticoccidial agent whose mechanism of action consists in inhibiting the energy metabolism of the parasite. It interrupts the life cycle of coccidia at multiple developmental stages and is most active against second-generation schizonts.

The combined action of the components in the formulation not only enhances the overall anticoccidial efficacy but also slows the development of resistance.

The drug exhibits a broad spectrum of anticoccidial activity and is effective against: E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. maxima, E. mitis, E. mivati, E. necatrix, E. praecox, E. tenella, and other coccidial species parasitizing in poultry.
