Quick introduction with water
High efficacy against spirochetes, clostridia, mycoplasmosis, and ileitis
Awater-soluble tiamulin-based granular powder to treat and prevent diseases in commercial stock of pigs and poultry.
Tialong 45% Feed a white to light yellow granular powder.
Packing: 1 kg in bags made of composite material based on aluminium foil or in multi-layer paper bags with a PE inner layer.
450 mg tiamulin
Tialong 45% Feed belongs to pleuromutilin antibiotics.
Tiamulin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is active against mycoplasms (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, M. hyorhinis, M. hyosynoviae, M. synoviae, M. gallisepticum, M.meleagridis), Gram-positive and some Gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Listeria spp., Pasteurella spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae, Actinobacillus spp., Fusobacterium necrophorum, Bacteroides spp., Campylobacter spp., Lawsonia intracellularis), as well as against Brachyspira spp. (Brachyspira hyodysenteriae, Br. innocens, Br. pilosicoli, Br. suis).
Mode of action: tiamulin inhibits protein synthesis in bacterial cell ribosomes.
Administered orally, tiamulin is well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and penetrates into most organs and tissues of the body reaching maximal concentrations in pigs in 2 hours, and remains at therapeutic level for 18 to 24 hours. Tiamulin is metabolized in liver and excreted from the body mainly with bile and partially with urine.
Tialong 45% Feed is prescribed for pigs to treat bacterial respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases caused by tiamulin-sensitive agents (i. e. bacterial dysentery, enzootic pneumonia, pleuropneumonia and mycoplasma arthritis); for chickens to prevent and treat mycoplasma infections caused by M. gallisepticum, M. synovia, and M. meleagridis.
Tialong 45% Feed is administered to animals and poultry individually or in groups with drinking water.
The drug solution is to be prepared daily; it should be the only source of drinking water for pigs and poultry. The drug solution is stable for 24 hours.
To treat bacterial infections in pigs, the drug is used following the schedule given in Table.
Before use, calculate the daily water consumption for pigs and prepare the tiamulin hydrogen fumarate solution of the required concentration.
To prepare a 0.006% tiamulin solution, dissolve 1 g of Tialong 45% Feed in 7.5 L of water; a 0.012% solution—dissolve 1 g in 3.75 L of water; a 0.018% solution—dissolve 1 g in 2.5 Lof water.

Dosage schedule |
Dysentery incl. that complicated by Fusobacterim spp. and Bacteroides spp. |
0.02 g of powder per 1 kg of animal body weight, which corresponds to 8.8 mg of tiamulin. The daily dose consumption is ensured when a 0.006 % tiamulin hydrogen fumarate solution is administered with drinking water. |

Proliferative enteropathy (ileitis) caused by Lawsonia intracellularis and colitis caused by Br. pilosicoli |
5 days |
|
Enzootic pneumonia caused by M.hyopneumoniae, including complications by P. multocida and A.pleuropneumoniae |
0.033 to 0.045 g of powder per 1 kg of animal body weight, which corresponds to 15 to 20 mg of tiamulin. The daily dose consumption is ensured when a 0.012 to 0.018 % tiamulin hydrogen fumarate solution is administered with drinking water. |
5-10 days |
Pleuropneumonia caused by A.pleuropneumoniae |
0.045 g of powder per 1 kg of animal body weight, which corresponds to 20 mg of tiamulin. The daily dose consumption is ensured when a 0.018 % tiamulin hydrogen fumarate solution is administered with drinking water |
5-7 days |
For chickens, Tialong 45% Feed is prescribed to treat mycoplasma infections caused by M. gallisepticum, M. synoviae, and M. meleagridis in accordance with the schedule given in Table 1. Before use, calculate the daily water consumption for poultry and prepare the tiamulin hydrogen fumarate solution of the required concentration. To prepare a 0,025% tiamulin solution, dissolve 1,1 g of Tialong 45% Feed in 2 L of water; for a 0,0125% solution dissolve 1,1 g in 4 Lof water.

Hypersensitivity of an animal to tiamulin; an animal suffering from pronounced renal and hepatic insufficiency. Avoid using the drug in farrow sows during the first month of gestation.
Avoid using Tialong 45% Feed in laying hens, as well as in replacement chicks less than 14 days before egg laying starts, as tiamulin accumulates in eggs.
Avoid using the drug concurrently with, 7 days before, and 7 days after administering monensin, salinomycin, narasin, and other ionophore anticoccidial agent, aminoglycoside antibiotics, as side effects and complications (e. g. diarrhea, anorexia, paresis, nephrotoxic effects, etc.) may occur in animals.
Pigs can be slaughtered for human consumption not earlier than 7 days after Тialong 45% Feed was administered for the last time. In the case of forced slaughter of pigs before the established deadlines, the meat can be used for feeding fur-bearing animals. Broilers can be slaughtered for human consumption not earlier than 3 days after Тialong 45% Feed was administered for the last time. In the case of forced slaughter of poultry before the established deadlines, the meat can be used for feeding fur-bearing animals.
