Chlorhexidine hydrochloride is very effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, protozoa, and fungi. Chlorhexidine acts by disrupting the plasma membrane of bacterial cells.
Propranolol hydrochloride stimulates uterine activity and is a beta-blocker of myometrium adrenergic receptors.
Sepranol is prescribed for cows as an afterbirth expulsion stimulant as well as to prevent and treat acute postpartum endometritis, and endometritis caused by microorganisms sensitive to chlorhexidine hydrochloride.

If the cervix is closed and it is impossible to administer suppositories, the drug is recommended for use as a solution.
To prepare the solution: 2 suppositories are dissolved in 150 to 200 mL of sterile water or saline preheated up to 40°C.
2 - Prevention of postpartum endometritis was studied in black-and-white Hungarian cows aged 3 to 5 years, with average fatness and body weight of 450 kg and kept in the farm (Marksovsky district, Saratov region).

The products for human consumption obtained from animals during or after the treatment with Sepranol is permissible no earlier than 48 hours after the last dose of the medication was administered. In the case of forced slaughter of animals before the established deadlines, the meat (as well as the milk) can be used for feeding fur-bearing animals.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity of an animal to the drug components. Avoid using the drug concurrently with other intra-uterine drugs.
