    Nitox 200 belongs to antibacterial drugs. Oxytetracycline has a bacteriostatic activity against most of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including streptococci, staphylococci, corynebacteria, clostridia, erysipelothrixes, pasterellae, fusobacteria, salmonellae, pseudomonadae, actinobacteria, escherichia, chlamidiae, rickettsiae, and spirochaete.

    Mode of action: oxytetracycline inhibits microbial protein synthesis. The prolonged activity of the drug is attributed to the magnesium complex of oxytetracycline. Injected intramuscularly, oxytetracycline is quickly absorbed from the injection site and reaches its peak concentration in organs and tissues in 30 to 50 minutes. The therapeutic level of the antibiotic in blood serum is preserved for 60 to 72 hours. Oxytetracycline is mainly excreted with bile and urine; in lactating animals, it can also be partially eliminated with milk.

    A single dose provides an effective concentration of the drug in blood plasma for 3 to 4 days, which in most cases is enough for a course of treatment

    Nitox 200 is prescribed for cattle, small ruminants, pigs to treat infectious diseases, caused by oxytetracycline-sensitive activators, including respiratory diseases of bacterial ethiology, pasteurellosis, atrophic rhinitis, enzootic abort, mastitis, MMA syndrome, keratoconjunctivitis, footrot, arthrempyesis, umbilical sepsis, apostasis, peritonitis, vulnerary and obstetric infections, anaplasmosis, and also while consecutive infections in viral diseases.

    1 mL per 10 kg, deeply intramuscularly

    Once; if required, repeat after 72 hours

    The highest dose to be administered in one site: cattle - 20 mL, small ruminants, pigs - 5 to 10 mL. In the case when the volume to be administered exceeds the recommended one, it should be administered into several sites.


    Avoid using Nitox 200 concurrently with corticosteroids and estrogens. Avoid using the drug with penicillinic and cephalosporin antibiotics, as an antibacterial effect of oxytetracycline decreases.

    Avoid using the drug in animals with renal failure and mycoses, as well as in animals with hypersensitivity to tetracycline antibiotics.

    Avoid using the drug in horses.

    Animals can be slaughtered no earlier than 28 days after Nitox 200 was administered for the last time. In the case of forced slaughter of animals before the established deadlines, the meat can be used for feeding carnivores.

    The milk, obtained from the treated milked animals, should not be used for human consumption and subjected to technologic processing for 7 days after the veterinary drug was administered. The milk, obtained during the treatment and within 7 days after the last injection, can be used for animal feed after heat treatment.
