Instruction for use of Nitamin OR

I. General information

1. Nitamin OR is a feed additive for normalization of metabolism in animals during stress, hypovitaminosis, decrease of productivity and additional stress.

International nonproprietary name: vitamin A, vitamin D3, vitamin E, vitamin C

The product does not contain genetically modified ingredients.

2. Nitamin OR is an opalescent yellow liquid.

3. Nitamin OR is available in 1000 ml plastic bottles. The bottles are sealed with plastic caps with first opening control clips.

Nitamin OR is stored in a sealed original package, in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, storage temperature range: 4°С to 25°С.

Shelf-life of the feed additive under the specified conditions is 18 months from the date of manufacture, after first opening – 7 days.

The use of Nitamin OR after the expiration date is prohibited.

II. Сomposition

4. 1 ml of Nitamin OR contains retinol palmitate (vitamin A) - 50,000 IU, cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) - 5,000 IU, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E) - 50 mg, ascorbic acid (vitamin C) - 100 mg as active substances, and excipients – up to 1 ml.

III. Pharmacological properties

5. Vitamin A regulates the structure, function and regeneration of epithelial tissue, thus increasing resistance against infection. Higher doses prevent weight loss and intensify metabolism. Vitamin D3 regulates calcium and phosphorus metabolism, affects their absorption in the gastrointestinal tract, and also has an antirachitic effect. Vitamin E regulates redox processes and influences the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats; it also enhances the effects of vitamins A and D3. Vitamin C is an important factor for normal growth; it enhances the protective functions of the body.

Administering the feed additive causes a rapid increase in blood vitamin levels and their accumulation in the liver and other tissues.

IV. Administration procedure

6. Nitamin OR is used to stimulate the metabolism of animals and poultry under stress, hypovitaminosis, decrease of productivity or excessive stress: during pregnancy (only in the second half of it) and lactation, particularly in reproductive disorders; in case of animals moving, feed replacement during fattening; in case of growth inhibition and deficient weight gain, infectious and parasitic diseases; during veterinary activities: vaccinations and deworming; after surgery or injury; for improvement of bad egg-laying or thin eggshell.

7. The feed additive is administered to animals orally mixed with drinking water or feed once per month.

In order to increase the productivity and strength of the egg shell of laying hens Nitamin OR is administered orally in a dose of 1.5 ml/l of water 1-2 times per month depending on the condition of the poultry and quality of eggs within 1-2 days. Feed additive is administered to broilers orally in a dose of 1.5 ml/l of water twice at age 3 and 15 days, and then for the indications. Dilution of the feed additive must be carried out step by step.

Recommended Nitamin OR doses in dependence on the animal/poultry species and age:

Species and age

ml / 1 liter of drinking water

              laying hens

adult livestock, horses

calves, foals

Sheep, goats:

adult livestock

              fattening pigs

Dogs, cats

Rabbits, fur-bearing animals

ml/ 10 kg of body weight

8. No adverse reactions were observed at the administration of Nitamin OR if administered subject to the instructions for use. Contraindications include hypervitaminosis and hypersensitivity to the constituent parts of the feed additive.

9. Nitamin OR feed additive should not be combined with corticosteroids which promote vitamin D excretion and also interfere with the absorption and metabolism of calcium. The concurrent administration of Nitamin OR with cardiac glycosides may intensify toxic effects of the latter (risk of cardiac arrhythmias increases). The concurrent administration with tetracycline antibiotics increases the risk of intracranial hypertension. Nitamin OR should be administered with caution at the same time as NSAIDs and cardiac glycosides, since it intensifies their effects. Nitamin OR solutions should not be in contact with disinfectants or oxidants.

10. The products made of farm animals and poultry that were administered the feed additive Nitamin OR can be used as food without any restrictions.

V. Special precautions for use

11. General rules of personal hygiene and safety measures required during work with feed additives should be followed when handling Nitamin OR. Wash your hands with soap and water after handling the product.

12. If the additive comes in contact with your eyes, flush them with copious amounts of water.

13. The feed additive should be kept out of reach of children.
