  • Pharmacological properties

Nicarbazin is active against all coccidia species parasitizing in birds including Eimeria acervulina, Eimeria necatrix, Eimeria tenella, Eimeria brunetti, Eimeria maxima, Eimeria mivati, Eimeria mitis, Eimeria рrаесох. Nicarbazine is a synthetic anticoccidial agent, which is a complex of components of 4,4'-dinitrodiphenylurea (DNC) and 2-hydro-4,6 dimethylpyrimidine (HDP). The mechanism of anticoccidial action of nicarbazine is to inhibit the energy metabolism in the parasite's body. Having anticoccidial properties, it interrupts the life cycle of coccidia at different stages of development, it is most active at the stage of second-generation schizonts. Nicarbazine is practically not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and exerts its anticoccidial action in the mucous membrane and in the submucosal layer of the intestine. Nicarbazine is excreted from the bird body mainly unchanged with excements within 6-8 days.

  • Dosage and route of administration

Use Nicarzin for poultry in a mixture with feed at a dose of 500 g per 1 ton of feed (equvalent to 125 mg of nicarbazine per 1 kg of feed): - broiler chickens from the first day of life for the entire period of rearing, exclude from the diet 9 days before slaughter; - replacement chickens - from the first day of life and exclude from the diet not less than 14 days before the start of egg-laying. To ensure uniform distribution of the drug in the feed use a two stage mixing method. Mix the calculated dose of Nicarzin with a little amount (up 10% of the daily consumption) of the combined feed and then add the rest combined feed while mixing thoroughly.

  • Restrictions
  • Restrictions
