28-day protection against re-infestation
Single-injection treatment
Overcomes ivermectin resistance
Intramuscular administration.
An antiparasitic drug based on the new generation of avermectins that overcomes resistance to ivermectin and provides an extremely long protection against reinfestation.
Meradok is a clear light yellow to yellow liquid. Packing: 100 mL hermetically sealed glass bottles.
10 mg doramectin
Doramectin is an antiparasitic agent of systemic effect that belong to macrocyclic lactones. Doramectin binds with muscle cell and nervous tissue receptors and increases membrane permeability for chlorine ions, causing blockage of nerve impulses that leads to paralysis and death of parasitic agents.
Doramectin is quickly absorbed from the injection site, reaching the peak concentrations within 4 to 5 days. The medication is excreted unchanged with the feces.
Due to its pharmacokinetic properties, concentrations of doramectin remain therapeutic for a long time in the blood of animals.
Once administered, Meradok retains its protective effect for 28 days.
The duration of Meradok effect exceeds the life cycle of Sarcoptes mites, thus ensuring protection against re-infestation.
Dynamics of changes in doramectin serum concentration after the application of Meradok
When applied at recommended doses, Meradok is safe for warm-blooded animals. Injections of the drug are painless and do not cause stress in animals. Due to the reasonable dosage, Meradok is administered in one injection, thus less injuring animals.
Meradok is prescribed for cattle, sheep, and pigs to prevent and to treat diseases caused by nematodes affecting the gastrointestinal tract, lungs, subcutaneous tissue, tear ducts, by subcutaneous and Oestrinae larvae, lice, itch mites, and red ticks. Hypersensitivity of an animal to the drug components (the history of it). Avoid applying the drug to the animals suffering from contagious diseases and to weak animals.
As doramectin is excreted with milk, avoid using the drug in milked and pregnant cows less than 60 days before calving or lactation; and in ewes - 70 days before lambing.
The slaughter of cattle and sheep for human consumption is allowed no earlier than 70 days, of pigs - no earlier than 77 days after the last dose of the product was administered. In the case of forced slaughter of animals before the established deadlines, the meat can be used for feeding fur-bearing animals.
3 years from the date of manufacture; after first opening - 90 days.
