More efficient than the mono medications based on enrofloxacin
A synergistic directed action
The maximum effect of therapy of colibacteriosis
Low probability of resistance development
Enronit OR is a complex enrofloxacin- and colistin-based drug highly effective against colibacillosis in pigs and poultry.
Appearance: transparent, slightly opalescent yellow solution.
Packaging: Enronit OR is packaged in 100 and 1000 mL polyethylene vials.
100 mg enrofloxacin
1 000 000 IU colistin
A synergistic combination of enrofloxacin and colistin sulfate, the active substances of Enronit OR provides a wide range of antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative microbes. The mechanism of action of enrofloxacin (a fluroquinolone derivative) is as follows: enrofloxacin inhibits the activity of gyrase (an enzyme affecting replication of DNA spiral in the bacterial cell nucleus), which allows it to disrupt protein synthesis and suppress the growth and development of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including Escherichia coli, Haemophilus spp, Pasteurella spp, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus spp, Streptococcus spp, Clostridium perfringens, Bordetella spp, Campylobacter spp, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, as well as Mycoplasma spp. The mechanism of action of colistin sulfate (a polypeptide antibiotic) is as follows: colistin sulfate impairs the permeability of bacterial cell walls by connecting to lypoproteins that leads to a change in the intracellular metabolism and causes death of Gram-negative bacteria including Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella spp, Salmonella spp. and Proteus spp.
After oral application, enrofloxacin is quickly and fully absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and distributed among the organs and tissues of the animal; enrofloxacin is excreted mostly unchanged and partially as metabolites with feces and urine. Colistin sulfate is scarcely absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and does not accumulate in organs and tissues. It is excreted mostly unchanged with feces.
HIGH ANTIBACTERIAL ACTIVITY OF ENRONIT OR IN COMPARISON WITH MONO MEDICATIONS
Enronit OR can be used animals and poultry for treatment and prevention (during the periods of increased risk of contamination) of colibacillosis, salmonellosis, chronic respiratory diseases, streptococcosis, necrotic enteritidis, Glasser's disease, mycoplasmosis, mixed infections and secondary infections (of virus diseases); in piglets – against colibacillosis and bacterial enteritis caused by microbes sensitive to enrofloxacin and colistin.
For broiler stock, breeding stock and rearing stock of chickens, hens and turkeys, Enronit OR shall be added to the water container at the following daily dose: 0.5 mL per 1 L of potable water for 3-5 days; in case of salmonellosis, mixed infections and chronic forms of diseases, Enronit OR shall be administered for at least 5 days.
During the treatment period, poultry shall only drink water that contains Enronit OR.
For piglets, Enronit OR shall be added to the water container (in 1:1 dilution) at the following dose: 0.3 mL per 1 kg of animal weight once a day for 2-3 days. In case of severe disease, the daily dose shall be increased to 0.5 mL per 1 kg of animal weight
Slaughter of poultry for meat is permitted not earlier than 11 days, pigs - not earlier than 14 days after the last use of the drug. Meat from animals, forcedly slaughtered before the expiry of the stated period, can be used as feed to fur animals.
