Decvycox is available in 20 kg multi-layered paper bags with PE inlay.
60 mg decoquinate
Decoquinate has a broad spectrum of coccidioidal action against Eimeria spp. Decoquinate is a chemical anticoccidial quinolone agent (4-hydroxy-quinolone compound).
Mode of action: decoquinate inhibits the mitochondrial respiration processes and electron transfer in coccidia, thus causing abortion of sporozoites development, once they enter the epithelium, and interrupting the life cycle of parasitic agents. This leads to a significant decrease in focal lesions of the intestine and reduced intensity of the oocysts release into the intestinal lumen and the ambient environment.
Decvycox is poorly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and exerts its action in the mucous membrane and in the submucosal layer of the intestine. It is excreted from the body mainly with feces in an unchanged form (up to 88%).
Decvycox is prescribed to prevent coccidiosis in broilers and replacement chickens.
In poultry, Decvycox is used mixed with feed at a dose of 333 g per 1 ton of feed (on API basis—20 mg of decoquinate per 1 kg of feed):
in broiler chickens — introduced on the first day of life for the entire period of rearing and excluded from the diet only 5 days before slaughter
in replacement chickens — introduced on the first day of life and excluded from the diet at least 14 days before the egg-laying period starts.
To ensure uniform distribution of the drug throughout the feed mix, the calculated amount of Decvycox is mixed with a small amount of combined feed at a ratio of 1:3, and then the obtained mixture is added to the remaining feed and mixed thoroughly. Added to the combined feed, the drug is stable within 3 months.
Hypersensitivity of an animal to the drug components. Avoid applying Decvycox in laying hens and replacement chicks less than 14 days before egg laying starts, as the drug accumulates in eggs.
Treated broilers can be slaughtered for human consumption no earlier than 5 days after the last administration of Decvycox. The meat of poultry slaughtered before the established deadlines can be used for feeding fur-bearing animals.
3 years from the date of manufacture; after first opening - 3 months.
