    Decoquinate has a broad spectrum of coccidioidal action against Eimeria spp. Decoquinate is a chemical anticoccidial agent of quinolones group (4- hydroxy-quinolone compound). The mechanism of the anticoccidial action of decoquinate is based on the inhibition of the mitochondrial respiration processes and electron transfer in coccidia, which causes abortion of sporozoites development after they enter the epithelium and interruption of the parasite's life cycle. This leads to a significant decrease in focal lesions of the intestine and reduced intensity of the oocysts release into the intestinal lumen and the ambient environment. Decvycox is poorly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and exerts its action in the mucous membrane and in the submucosal layer of the intestine. It is excreted from the body mainly with excrement in unchanged form (up to 88%).

  • Indications
  • Indications

    Decvycox is indicated to prevent coccidiosis in broilers and replacement chickens.

  • Dosage and route of administration
  • Dosage and route of administration

    Use Decvycox for poultry in a mixture with feed at a dose of 333 g per 1 ton of feed (on API basis - 20 mg of decoquinate per 1 kg of feed):

    - broiler chickens from the first day of life for the entire period of rearing, exclude from the diet 5 days before slaughter;

    - replacement chickens - from the first day of life and exclude from the diet not less than 14 days before the start of egg-laying. To ensure uniform distribution of the drug in the feed mix the calculated amount of Decvycox with a small amount of combined feed with a ratio of 1:3, and then add the obtained mixture to the remaining feed and mix thoroughly. The drug added to the combined feed is stable within 3 months.

  • Restrictions
  • Restrictions

    Treated broilers can be slaughtered for food no sooner than 5 days after the last administration of Decvycox. The meat of the slaughtered chickens before the above stated period can be used as feed for fur animals.
