On July 3 to 5, the City of Ulan-Ude on the shore of Baikal Lake hosted the business program of the 25th International Forum of Poultry Farmers – “Baikal‐2019”, which brought together more than 50 representatives of poultry farms from Russia, Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and other countries, as well as experts in genetics, production process, and veterinary support.
The official part of the plenary session began with a speech delivered by Sergey Shabaev, President of the Eurasian Poultry Association, who cited statistics on the meat production market and its development. He focused on the challenges facing the poultry industry in short and long term.
Recently, there has been an increase in consumer interest in a detailed research of foodstuff and, particularly, meat. In this regard, producers faced the urgent issue of using rational antibiotic therapy. Therefore, most of the presentations were devoted to alternative ways of using antibiotics for growing and feeding poultry.
In support of this topic, Dmitry Suprunov, Director of NITA-FARM Trading House, presented to the audience the new MAX-effect program to control coccidiosis, developed using the unique technology of thermostabilizing micro granulation, which reduces the risk of resistance and guarantees the medicine use effectiveness.
In addition to a rich business program, the Forum guests had an opportunity to visit the Barguzinsky Reserve and hot springs, upgrade their fishing skills and ride a boat in the Baikal National Park.
The value of this forum is live communication in an informal setting surrounded by pristine Siberian nature. All these components have a beneficial effect not only on business, but also on personal relationships.
