April 17-20, 2019, the IXth International Veterinary Congress was held in Svetlogorsk, Kaliningrad Region, with NITA-FARM Company being the silver sponsor.

The event traditionally included an exhibition of veterinary and medical equipment, feedstuffs and feed additives, pharmaceutical products for the treatment and prevention of animal diseases as well as specialized literature. At NITA-FARM booth, the Company’s veterinarians presented a new program of anticoccidial agents ”МАХ-effect”, manufactured using a unique thermostabilizing microgranulation technology.

The business part of the congress was held in the format of a scientific conference where Director of NITA-FARM Oleg Zhukov made a report on the use of antibiotics in “Pig Production” Section. By his speech he addressed the issues of antibiotic resistance, what risks it poses to humans and possible ways to reduce them, and what measures need to be taken to ensure the safety of livestock products.
